Spring is here and will not be long before the summer time starts with a kick

Shirts and shorts will begin making their way back to our wardrobe rotation, as the swimsuit and bathing suit. There are a lot of fun to be had, but we must be aware of how we expose our skin to the elements. That’s good advice for anyone but those who have tattoos and those interested in acquiring new tattoos should be especially careful.

First, sun protection is important. Sunscreens have many health benefits of any human being, but it is good to keep your tattoo exposed in the sunny months. If you do not use it, you risk fading or damage to your tattoo, which can amount to unnecessary and costly rework.

Those who have a contraindication ink are applied going to want to avoid the sun completely, and for two weeks, so even if you may be happy to show off the new tattoo on the beach or pool, with the patience to improve the quality of the ink in the long term.

People should be aware of when they get a new tattoo.

It would be unwise to get one just before going on holiday in hot countries, such as that may be near the ocean or a pool. Salt water and chlorine are both dangerous to the fresh ink, it potentially dull and needs – such as solar energy – avoiding a recovery period of two weeks.

Hopefully these tips to keep your tattoo healthy skin and the days get hotter and brighter.

Phil’s first Tattoo

Phil’s a hesh hellmate of mine who came in a few days ago to have his recently deceased mother’s signature tattooed on his shoulder blade. He was so stoked to be gettin it done he was smiling the whole way through and it was his first tattoo. Proud. And Dave did a mad as job.

Welcome to the Sacred Skin blog! Secondly, Hi, I’m Jacob J. I quit my Telstra job and came down from Maryborough (don’t worry if you haven’t heard of it) to do the apprentice thing here about 3 months ago and I am STOKED to be a part of this studio and city. This place is moving at high speeds and 2011 is gonna see it as a blur vaguely resembling a nos powered bulldozer. Hope you’re all on board for the new year!
