Hi, My Name is Tilly Dee
Like most tattooists my passion for art and drawing started at a young age and an artistic family surrounding me, So naturally I leaned towards working in a creative industry.
In 2002 I studied a diploma of fashion, at this time I discovered a love for 50's trash culture. As I submerged myself into that beatnik world I fell in love with tattoos. My designs and drawing style easily transferred. But it was watching a derby doco on SBS that featured mimsy and tattooed ladies, that I said mum I'm getting a portfolio together and I am going to get an apprenticeship as a tattooist.
I moved to Brisbane a few years later working and getting tattooed, taking my drawings and getting pointers from people in the industry. I lucked out because I heard a shop was looking for a female.
A variety of things and people inspire me from music, trash cultures, mimsy, valerie vargas, Gil Elvgren, Josh Schwegel, my friends, family and working with different medias.

My style would best be described as something old, something new, traditional, anything with skulls and love floral to death, 5o's pinups and if it has pink or leopard print, you know i'll be down to tattoo it.
Look forward to seeing you soon.
