Sacred Skin
Hello there, my name is Willa-Mae, however Willa will also be fine.

I grew up in a little town a few hours up the coast called Hervey Bay, with my Mum and Dad, two sisters and a rambunctious pet goat. My artistic interest manifested from a very young age, largely influenced by my creative parents, there was always basic art supplies about the house so artistic stimulus was never far.

Between the years of 2004 and 2006 I studied a Diploma in Visual Arts at Hervey Bay Senior College. It was during this time I began my exploration of different mediums. I began to consider the possibility of drawing on skin.

I was fortunate to have a family friend who was a tattooist, so by the time I had finished my course I had already done a number of small tattoos on some of my enthusiastic friends. By this stage a career in tattooing had become a serious consideration.

Which brings me to where I am today, working with the lovely people at Sacred Skin, under the teachings of Tony Oliver.

From pencil on paper, acrylic on canvas, to ink on skin, I use a cross discipline approach
when creating my art. The images I create are both realistic and fantasy. I am inspired by artists Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Geff Gogue and many more.

The styles I am interested in include Pinups, Greywash, Newschool, and anything that challenges me. I love doing custom work, and would be happy to design a unique tattoo that suits you.

Look forward to seeing you sometime.
